If you follow Bruised Passports regularly, you would know that Vid and I went on a Mediterranean cruise to celebrate my birthday because we’re of the firm belief that holidays make turning an year older somewhat less tedious :-).

A fancy holiday and an occasion called for some special jewels. I dislike precious jewellery but I couldn’t have packed my usual bohemian accessories either – they would’ve stuck out like a sore thumb amidst satin gowns, ornate staircases, and bejewelled capes on the cruise ship. Then I got lucky – I was sent some jewellery by a US-based jewellery house, Kanupriya. This package really couldn’t have come at a better time. All their jewelry is 22kt gold plated and handcrafted and embellished with semi-precious stones sourced from Jaipur , Arizona, and Bali.

Their decadent jewellery has been worn by the likes of Oprah Winfrey , Kaley Cuoco, and Meagan Good, so I spent my evenings on the cruise feeling pretty special.

  1. Love it all! Great accessories as usual Sav…I specially love the corsage, your studded loafers, and the bangles from Kanupriya…xoxoxox

    1. Thanks for the idea- my hair is usually all over the place, but I’ll try to put something together 🙂

  2. Hey..I just love this style of jewelry. Very similar to my latest discovery in ggn. Check this out-https://www.facebook.com/ateliermondesigns. But nothing beats that glass of wine for sure..:)

    1. Thanks Karisa- I’m happy to be of help. It’s so easy to overpack for a cruise, so having a list definitely helps. PS – a li’l birdie tells me we’ll be hosting a giveaway to win a similar cuff on our facebook page very soon 🙂

    1. They might not be for everyone but I have to say they’re my favourites too Dana 🙂

  3. Such a unique subject to discuss! Nice one! 🙂
I particularly agree with the cuff and collar clips! Cruising is such a sophisticated activity, and these accessories match the atmosphere well! 🙂 I think they’re some sort of magical stuffs that really creates a posh impression. 🙂

And the loafers! Or anything flat! I mean it! Walking around the ship can be like walking around a huge mall. Comfortable shoes are a must! 🙂

    1. Thanks Yenny – good to hear you appreciate this post. There isn’t much material on this topic, so I thought it might help those who are about to embark on their first cruise. I agree with you, comfortable shoes are a must. It’s tough to get around cruise-ships in sky-high heels 😉

  4. Hey Savi & Vid, your blogs and pics are amazing. And you guys are serious couple goals ?.

On the cruise part, can you suggest some good options for booking cruises? In Europe?

    1. Thanks Rupal – we’ve written a lot about our favourite cruise itineraries in Europe but we’d suggest beginning with a Mediterranean Cruise – they are super affordable and stop at some great ports 🙂
