If you follow Bruised Passports regularly, you would know that Vid and I went on a Mediterranean cruise to celebrate my birthday because we’re of the firm belief that holidays make turning an year older somewhat less tedious :-).
A fancy holiday and an occasion called for some special jewels. I dislike precious jewellery but I couldn’t have packed my usual bohemian accessories either – they would’ve stuck out like a sore thumb amidst satin gowns, ornate staircases, and bejewelled capes on the cruise ship. Then I got lucky – I was sent some jewellery by a US-based jewellery house, Kanupriya. This package really couldn’t have come at a better time. All their jewelry is 22kt gold plated and handcrafted and embellished with semi-precious stones sourced from Jaipur , Arizona, and Bali.
Their decadent jewellery has been worn by the likes of Oprah Winfrey , Kaley Cuoco, and Meagan Good, so I spent my evenings on the cruise feeling pretty special.
Ever since we spoke about our love for cruises, so many of you have asked us to write a post on packing for Cruise holidays. I particularly agree with the cuff and collar clips! Cruising is such a sophisticated activity, and these accessories match the atmosphere well! 🙂 I think they’re some sort of magical stuffs that really creates a posh impression. 🙂
And the loafers! Or anything flat! I mean it! Walking around the ship can be like walking around a huge mall. Comfortable shoes are a must! 🙂
