Let me introduce you to the wonders of the Cape Dress. This structural marvel makes you think, nay believe, you have wings.  Wings, in my dictionary, mean only one thing. Several aborted attempts at flying 😉

I kid. It was the searingly bright colour of the dress that first attracted me to it. It is a classic shift dress with a twist – it’s cape-like sleeves. The sleeves lend a modern edge to a traditional silhouette.

It’s easy to pair a bright colour with blacks or browns, but I wanted to pair it with an even brighter green. I’m wearing a green and gold collar necklace, a smattering of miscellaneous green and gold rings, and green aviators. I know what you’re thinking – another pair of mirrored aviators? Aye, I’m hoarding them like there’s no tomorrow (sample the ‘Sports Luxe’ post. This needs to stop.

We shot these photos in the sprawling gardens of the Alhambra in Granada (Spain). The palace is an architectural wonder and the Edenic gardens complement it.
