I suppose this is the kind of look filed under that convenient label ‘Boho luxe’, since it is all about loose bohemian cuts with gold accents. But let me tell you a little story about how this outfit actually came to be:
Dressing for a day of sight-seeing in Dubai is a tall order, the shoes need to be comfortable (cue flat sandals), the outfit needs to be breezy to beat the Emirati sun (cue airy top), one cannot show too much skin (cue peg-leg trousers), one’s hair needs to be out of the way (cue top bun), and then again, it needs to be a tad luxurious- after all, one is in the fashion mecca of the Middle East (cue gold cuff and earrings). Voila outfit ๐
Combining rich colours, luxurious fabrics, and relaxed cuts always works-it is practical, even utilitarian, but can easily pass off as luxurious bohemian wear. I wasย comfortable enough to do cartwheels in the desert (tomfoolery and travel ALWAYS go hand in hand but that’s a story for another day), and yet look half decent- bring on the ‘Boho Luxe’ I say ๐
